Record a voice note from Docs
On iPhone and Android, a new button in Docs opens the recorder. One tap to start, another to pause if you're interrupted, a last one to stop and preview before saving for good. Each voice note can run up to 2 hours: a warning kicks in well before the limit, so a recording never gets cut off mid-flow.
Filed into your projects and categories, as you record
You pick the project or category the voice note belongs to right as you record it, exactly like a regular file. A client meeting recap lands in the right folder with no separate filing step.
It's then accessible from its own tab in Docs, alongside PDFs and images: "Voice notes" gathers every recording, wherever it was filed.
Listen anywhere, even from a computer
Recording happens on mobile, but listening isn't limited to the device that captured it. Open the voice note from a computer and it plays right in the browser, with a waveform and a speed control to skip through a long meeting faster.
What it doesn't do (yet)
A voice note stays an audio recording: Flots doesn't transcribe it to text for now, so you listen back to it without being able to read it. If you need a written trace, regular note-taking and automatic task extraction remain the right move: see the notes guide for that.
Voice notes round out the Flots Documents space, already built to store and find your files alongside your tasks and projects. A way to capture an idea as fast as it comes to you, without reaching for the keyboard.
